Standardization organizations

International Organization for Standardization (ISO)
The ISO is a non-governmental organization that forms a bridge between the public and the private sectors. Many of it member institutes are part of the governmental structure of their countries, or are mandated by their government. The ISO in co-operation with the IEC and IEEE is currently preparing a standard for High Voltage Shore Connection systems.

International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC)
The IEC is an organization that prepares and publishes international standards for all electrical, electronic and related technologies. These standards are used for national standardization and as a reference for international tenders and contracts.

Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers
The IEEE Standards Association (IEEE-SA) is a leading developer of industry standards across a broad range of industries.
