In an era defined by operational agility and data driven governance, RAK Ports has implemented a transformative HSEQ platform – INBISCO – to reimagine how safety, environmental care, and quality assurance are executed across its port ecosystem. Anchored in the principles of digitalization, accountability and sustainability, this initiative transcends conventional compliance to deliver a future-ready operating model.
At the core of this transformation are three interoperable modules:
- Process Manager: A digital blueprint that condenses voluminous 50-page procedures into intuitive RASCI-driven flowcharts, enabling swift decision-making and process clarity.
- IRIS: An intelligent incident and audit reporting system offering real-time dashboards, seamless tracking, and data-backed HSEQ performance insights.
- RAS: A strategic Risk Assessment System centralizing operational risks and enabling proactive mitigation across the port’s dynamic environments.
What differentiates INBISCO is its integrated QR code system, empowering real-time verification of employee competencies, communication logs, and training credentials – scanned directly from staff ID cards. Furthermore, full digital auditing has eliminated paperwork, enhanced traceability, and elevated audit precision.
Through a powerful API, INBISCO integrates directly with RAK Ports’ Port Community System (PCS), enabling synchronized data flow between internal operations and external port stakeholders – an advanced model of port-wide collaboration.
This project directly advances four IAPH award themes – Digitalization, Health, Safety & Security, Environmental Care, and Community Building – while delivering measurable impact in alignment with UN SDGs 3, 8, 9, 12 and 13. Driven by a visionary leadership team, INBISCO is not just a digital tool – it is a catalyst for cultural change, operational resilience, and stakeholder trust. It represents a scalable, replicable framework for global ports pursuing next-generation HSEQ excellence. RAK Ports proudly presents INBISCO as an important, intelligent step into the future of sustainable port management.
