Recognizing that all stakeholders operating on the port property have a direct impact to the overall Port Safety Culture, an HSE Engagement Committee was established. PHSEC is represented by all lessee’s and direct stakeholders. We meet to share safety and environmental practices, trends, lessons learned and actively work on projects aimed at enhancing safety performance for all organizations and persons, operating in any capacity at the Port.
This year, the committee is developing a port wide safety video that can support all onboarding of new employees to the port, with messaging from all stakeholders. We also planned our first Port wide observation of the Day of Mourning, so that we may reflect together and recommit to safety. Engagement in actionable efforts has been excellent.
