Under the name ‘Maritime SG Together’ the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore announced a new package of measures for maritime companies, individuals and seafarers that will be effective from 1 May. The measures include further reductions in port dues of 30% for ocean-going cargo vessels that stay no more than five days in port as well as for non-passenger carrying harbourcraft. The reductions apply until 31 December this year. Other relief measures include credit management measures, increased co-funding for manpower and productivity support schemes under the Singapore Maritime Cluster Fund as well as initiatives for local seafarers.
