The COVID-19 crisis highlighted how ports and shipping provide the lifeline of the world, ensuring that food, medicine, and other essential supplies get delivered. Our next ‘Coronavirus Webinar’, co-hosted by IHS Markit, will explore whether the crisis will have permanent positive effects on the reputation of the sector and yield lasting improvements in collaboration between ship and shore. The session will also provide the latest insights in the global regulatory agenda for the maritime sector. Panellists will discuss how IMO policies on GHG emissions, trade facilitation and automation will progress after some essential IMO meetings were cancelled this spring. The webinar will take place on 10 June at 12.00 PM CEST featuring IMO Secretary General Kitack Lim, Quah Ley Hoon CEO of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore and International Chamber of Shipping Secretary General Guy Platten.
